INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIVING TOGETHER IN PEACE
Sheikh Khaled Bentounes is the initiator of the International Day of Living Together in
Peace (IDLTP), adopted on December 8, 2017 by the General Assembly of the
United Nations, unanimously by the 193 Member States.

This International Day of Living Together in Peace provides a means of regularly
mobilizing the efforts of the international community to promote peace, tolerance,
inclusion, understanding and solidarity, and an occasion for one and all to express
the profound desire to live and act together, united in differences and diversity, in
order to build a sustainable world of peace, solidarity and harmony.

“We are particularly pleased and grateful to have been able to bring together by
common agreement all the Nations of the planet around this idea of Living Together
in Peace”, proclaimed Sheikh Khaled Bentounes, Honorary president of AISA
International NGO.

172 Nations have already decided to observe the date of this International Day.
​
The International Day of Living Together in Peace has been set on 16 May of each year.
This International Day of Living Together in Peace is a reminder of the urgent need for reconciliation of the human family.
